Polaroid instant film has an aesthetic all of its own; slightly soft with exaggerated colours and a high gloss finish. There’s something magical about an image produced by a chemical process. The same image can turn out differently every time, and that’s part of the appeal — the unexpected and the haphazard means that every picture is unique.
The original Polaroids may be available as unique pieces, however the chemical process and natural fading may have changed the colour and tone slightly from when the photograph was taken.
